Hi, I'm Jill. I'm passionate about how humans interact with data and art in technology. On this site, you can learn a bit more about me and some of the work I've been up to lately. If you have any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Focusing on financial and product data, I'm proud to be a part of the Kangarootime data science team. Our main focus is to build reliable, consumable reports and analytics to make the lives of daycare staff easier and more fulfilling so they can provide the best possible care for the kids.
Back to IBM! It was very exciting to be back in the Buffalo office. I was a data science mentor to some of the new DS apprentices and worked on a high paced 3 month proof-of-value predictive analytics project for a large automotive company.
Higher education software, product research and development. I originally started with a small company named Campus Labs in November 2016. It was merged with 2 other higher ed software companies in July 2020, thus forming Anthology, Inc.
IT consulting, rapid analytics, and requirements gathering for various government and healthcare projects in the Washington, D.C. and Buffalo, NY areas.
2022 projected graduation. I cannot say enough how much I LOVE this program! I have met incredible people, and I feel as though my data science knowledge has gotten a powerup.
Concentrations in human developmental psychology, digital & timed-based art, and human computer interaction. Side note, Pittsburgh is an awesome city and it was a great place to live during college.
Tableau story exploring IPEDS degree data from 2010-2018 to investigate changes over time, level of education required, and differences in sex.
Using predictive analytics to save precious time for our user experience designers AND to teach basic data analysis principles at Anthology, Inc.
Saving hours (and even days!) for our financial consultants using the power of Python scripting and tkinter.
Final deliverable for spring 2021 course: Machine Learning Models in Python. Used data from LendingClub website to predict whether borrowers would pay back their loans. Evaluated which characteristics of borrowers most influenced default.
I adore board games! I completed this project with 3 other students in spring 2021 as part of a course called Machine Learning Models in Python.
Delivered predictive models and interactive Power BI dashboard to a local food production company as part of a professional lab for my master's degree program. In the interest of keeping this client's information secure, I have provided a summary of the project and sanitized screenshots of the final Power BI dashboard that we delivered.
Some bonus fun... I love drawing! Click below to check out some of my doodles.
Data... chicken wings... two of my favorites things. How about data about chicken wings? My father and I went on an adventure over several months to find the best classic Buffalo wings in Buffalo, NY. Check out the data for yourself and see if you agree.
